n00bs!

Wow. People that have never used a Mac are sooo timid of them. I’m listening to the Tech next to me talking about the computer with the customer and she’s dropping the word ‘Mac’ and ‘Macintosh’ every two seconds! She’s like ‘lets restart that mac computer’. haha. n00bs.

I think I found the layout I want to use for my site next year. I’ll try finish making it and then when I upload it to a host (i’ll look for a crappy free one first to see if I like it) then I’ll post a link. Then i’ll post a link later for the real website when I get the bugs and ideas worked out so that I’m not paying for a domain with a half a website on it.

Anyway. Over and out.

Its been ages!

And there’s tons to report. But I’ll ignore it all and jump to one thing on my mind haha.

I want to start an actual website. One that has its own domain. One to make me money. I know, money this and money that. BUT. I have a good reason.

I can’t work next year because I’ll be in school. So I want to be able to have a website that can generate some extra cash on the side for me so I can still buy things. Even $100 a month would come in handy. And that’s not that hard. If I can get a decent website running and I had ads on it I would get 8 cents a click. That means every 1000 clicks would be $80. If I get a high traffic site setup I could reach numbers like that.
i just need to think of a way that people don’t actually have to click on it. Like, I could have the homepage open up the add and have it redirect you after a few seconds. That would mean I’d get a click per page view. That’d be cool. Or have it so that all my links would load up the page linked to them and an ad, but not have the ad show so it doesn’t drive people nuts.
I don’t know. i’ll have to play with it. It’ll be cool though :)

Parable of the Leader

Let’s say there’s a country and its wicked cool and happy and everything is great. But then slowly the leader starts to be a tad more oppressive and propagandist. Eventually the entire country is completely dominated by this tyrant but the only thing is, the propaganda is so effective that only a small faction of the citizen’s are opposed to the oppression because the rest have fallen for the leader’s lies. The small faction has another group closely assosiated with it and the leader believes this group is on their side but really its a spy group for the faction. The faction could obtain harmony with the rest of the country but they would have to agree to a new policy that they just can’t agree with that is proposed by the leader. The faction doesn’t want to overthrow the leader, nor could it on its own anyway. The only way it could be overthrown to have the country’s issue resolved is to have all the other brainwashed citizen’s snap out of it and realize the leader has been lying to them. The faction would rather that, instead of the leader be overthrown, that it would instead be changed back into its democracy loving self because this faction used to be a group that worked close to the leader and helped it out with the country’s issues.

How can the faction get what they need?

What a Weekend

I went a bit prodigal this weekend and drank. Alot. 10 beers in a matter of an hour and a half or so. It might have been 12 because Alyssa says she had 8 and we had 24 and only 4 were left and it was in a separate room than the people so they couldn’t have taken any. Anyway, I realized I don’t like drinking. It amplifies whatever mood you were in that day. Maybe its just me, but I usually get grumpy. So. Unless I had an awesome day all day and no upsetness, I’m not drinking.
I’m really stoked for the CPA program though. It’ll be cool. The SLC campus and rez’s are both really nice. It’ll be good.
Anyway. That’s all for now. I’ll be back later no doubt.

Pr0n anyone?

The Real Intelligence Quotient
Friday November 02nd 2007, 2:58 pm
Filed under: God, Nerd, Philosophy, Learning

I’ve just realized that there’s a HUGE! difference between the smartest person (people) on earth and the not-so-smartest.
I’m not even talking about people born with dispositions or diseases or problems. Just the people that were born normal and given the same possibilities for school and still, at the end of it all, came out an idiot. And compare these people to the University level mathmaticians and engineers who live, breathe, eat and sleep knowledge. Now I know there are like 9 intelligence types, not just math and english. But these ones are the ones that require the most cognitive (this could be argued) involvement. Most of the other intelligences (musical, spatial etc) rely heavily on math (music - beats are a division of time and keys are based on a 12 based numerical system that uses the pattern of 1,3,5,6,8,10,12,1 for a major scale; spatial - relies on vectors and speeds and other laws of physics to be understood). There’s evidently an enormous difference of intelligence between the smartest and dumbest people. But its all subjective. So…

Now try to imagine God’s intelligence. He knows ALL things, not just has a partial understanding of some (or most I guess), but ALL things. He knows ALL the laws of physics, not just the ones visible to us. So, some people may be strive for Omniscience, but he IS, by His very own nature, Omniscient.
Does that mean that smart people are closer to God than dumb ones though? I guess it would depend on if they know the one vital Truth….
