If I’m created in the image of God does that give me permission to build my own universe? If I can program a Universe and have taken into account every possibility am I living up to that title of being created in His image? The more I think about programming and God and the world the more I want to make a perfect simulation. I keep thinking about things I can incorporate and I know I could pseudo code it but I doubt that for a while I’ll be able to actually code it (due to restrictions within computers). But who knows.
One thing I can’t figure out is how to program freewill. Intellegence is easy because its just memory. Personality is a tad trickier but it can be done. But how do you program free will? That’s one thing that escapes me.
I also don’t know how to go about the UI aspect of it. My universe will probably just be text based but very in depth. Like to the atomic level. I’ll be starting with atoms inside time and working upwards to individual cells and the laws of physics. I’ll keep posting.
Like really gross. Look at yours. Its probably gross. The crap in the keys. Blah.
I want my rubber keyboard. I don’t know why I don’t bring it to work. its clean. This one’s far from it.
Guess what! We’re all programs. I’ve decided and I’m sure of it. The human DNA takes up 3 GB of space and is essentially written in binary. Its made up of 4 amino acids which can only be paired specifically, meaning only 2 combinations. This is just like binary with its 1s and 0s. So that means that the whole DNA of a human could be said to be a program written in binary. That’s really cool. I’ll post more thoughts on the subject as they come.
I’ve just realized that there’s a HUGE! difference between the smartest person (people) on earth and the not-so-smartest.
I’m not even talking about people born with dispositions or diseases or problems. Just the people that were born normal and given the same possibilities for school and still, at the end of it all, came out an idiot. And compare these people to the University level mathmaticians and engineers who live, breathe, eat and sleep knowledge. Now I know there are like 9 intelligence types, not just math and english. But these ones are the ones that require the most cognitive (this could be argued) involvement. Most of the other intelligences (musical, spatial etc) rely heavily on math (music - beats are a division of time and keys are based on a 12 based numerical system that uses the pattern of 1,3,5,6,8,10,12,1 for a major scale; spatial - relies on vectors and speeds and other laws of physics to be understood). There’s evidently an enormous difference of intelligence between the smartest and dumbest people. But its all subjective. So…
Now try to imagine God’s intelligence. He knows ALL things, not just has a partial understanding of some (or most I guess), but ALL things. He knows ALL the laws of physics, not just the ones visible to us. So, some people may be strive for Omniscience, but he IS, by His very own nature, Omniscient.
Does that mean that smart people are closer to God than dumb ones though? I guess it would depend on if they know the one vital Truth….
I’m not sure why. I went to bed at like 12. And I woke up at 9:15. But I’m still freaking tired.
This won’t be the best condition to learn code in. But I’ll try anyway haha.
It dawned on me this morning that I haven’t cracked the spine of my Bible in a LONG time. I think tonight after work I’l going to. It’ll be good. I need to start a daily schedule, as much as I HATE being on a schedule. Oh well. It’ll help be pick up good habits.
I almost wish I would have picked a differnt title for my site here. I want to start including Philisophical concepts that I’ve been learning/thinking about but N3wbNews doesn’t exactly sound like it covers it. I suppose I’ll make technology my priority and talk about Philosophy whenever it pops in my head.
Right now I’m reading about Molinism. Basically, in its most basic form, its the belief that not only does God know all the thruths (like, the sky is blue, or, a cannot be b and c at the same time) and all of people’s choices at the present, but also (this is the main argument of it) that He knows what any given person would do in any given situation. That He knows all the possibilities under any circumstance and what choice would actually occur. Its really cool. I want to find better sites or books about it.
Also, naturalism and how it doesn’t make sense is among topics I’m discussing on TheologyWeb. Check out my links page to find Tweb if you want.
So, I’m torn (and not for the reason listed on my Battlecry today haha)
I listed my car for sale on Kijiji over a month ago and forgot all about it. I put it up there for $4000, $500 more than I paid for it (technically $1000 more than I paid for it, I still owe $500). All of a sudden between yesterday and today I’ve had THREE responses to it. Now, since its such a coincidence, I’m assuming that it might be Rob or Derek replying to it with fake emails that they get from customers at work. But I don’t know. If it is real, could it be a sign? Could God be offering me a way to fix my financial issues and get ahead again? I haven’t been tithing because I haven’t had enough money to. I know that’s not how it works but I’ve been struggling to stay afloat financially.
So, could this be a sign? An undeserved offering from God? If I even get $3500 for it I could easily find another car for cheaper and put away the rest in savings or toward my loan. I guess I’ll wait to figure out if it is Rob or Derek and go from there. And I’ll be praying.
God bless.
